NAM 5-a-side Football Tournament
Greetings from the NAM-FA in our temporary home on the campus of the University of Warwick. That's right, after an enforced three-year hiatus the (in)famous NAM football tournament is back!
It’s almost time to dig out those shorts and socks from the back of your miscellaneous clothes drawer, and - smiling as you polish up your old faithful boots - dream of 30-yard screamers. The last-minute shot that gracefully curves through the air and pings off the inside post before spinning across the netting. Or maybe it’ll cannon off your shin and roll over the line, tantalising as the keeper scrambles in slow motion, before literally tens of people erupt in halfhearted applause.
The NAM football tournament is open to everyone who might be intereted, no matter your level of experience or background, and mixed teams are very welcome. The main point is to have some fun and exercise, with a spoonful of healthy competition thrown in. Tournament victors will receive a small trophy (does anyone know where the NAM footbal trophy is?), and a hand-crafted wooden spoon awaits the leaders of the upside-down table.
Entry
If you have a team that you want to enter, please do so using the form linked below - each team only has to enter once!
If you don't have a team, then that's ok - please us "Individual" as your team name and we'll find a team for you to join.

Timing
20:00 - 22:00, Monday 11th July 2022
The tournament will begin as close as possible to 20:00. The last session of the day finishes at 1800 on Monday, so you should have time to get some dinner before heading to the pitches.
If you're not sure where to go, meet at the NAM Help Desk at 19:30 and someone will be there to guide you.
Practical details
Teams can have up to 7 members (5 players + 2 rolling substitutes). We strongly recommend that all players wear shin protection and that all goalkeepers wear proper goalkeeping gloves. Please note that participants play at their own risk, and the organisers can take no responsibility for any injury, damage or loss.
We should have bibs available for teams to use, but it would help if team members try to wear similar colours.
We should have 4 footballs, but if something goes diastrously wrong we should be able to get replacements from the Sports and Wellness Hub.
