Code of Conduct
You are expected to abide by the code of conduct that you agreed to when registering for the conference.
To report a violation of the code of conduct, please use the reporting form here.
The NAM 2022 organisers retain the right to take any actions to maintain a welcoming environment for all participants. This includes warning the offender, at the sole discretion of the organisers, or expulsion from the conference with no refund.
Wi-fi
There are two campus wi-fi networks available to attendees: Eduroam and Warwick Guest
Visitors from other institutions that can use Eduroam are encouraged to use that network, following the instructions issued by their home institution.
Attendees who do not have Eduroam access can connect to Warwick Guest by following the instructions linked here: https://warwick.ac.uk/services/its/servicessupport/networkservices/wifi/warwick-guest/
Campus emergencies
If you require an emergency service while on campus, please call the campus Control Centre on 024 7652 2222 (internal extension 22222). This enables the emergency services to get help to you faster, as campus security will escort them to the scene on their arrival on campus.
If you need to speak to the police while on campus and it is not an emergency, please call 101.
Fire alarms
The LOC are not aware of any fire drills planned during the conference. If you hear the fire alarm, please calmly follow the instructions of local volunteers who will guide you to the appropriate safe gathering points.
Accessibility information
Session recordings
All plenaries and parallel sessions will be recorded as standard, and will be available on ReAttendance for attendees to watch back shortly after the end of the session. Please be aware that some speakers may request that their talk be removed from the recordings; this requires additional editing, so replay may be disabled for those sessions in which case they will be temporarily hidden from the schedule on ReAttendance.
Food and drink
Lunch is bring provided on all five days of the conference. Lunch will be served as a buffet in the Arts Centre Mead Gallery (where posters are displayed), or at other stations around the Arts Centre. Allergen and other dietary information will be available at all serving stations. All dietary requirements will be catered for.
Refreshments (tea, coffee, juice, biscuits, etc.) will be served twice per day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Refreshments will be served in the Arts Centre Mead Gallery or at other stations around the Arts Centre.
Room capacities and overflow spaces
There are approximately 550 people attending the conference in person each day, so the conference spaces will be very busy and may fill up.
Plenaries and the Community Session will be held in the Arts Centre Theatre, which has a capacity of 550 people. Please try to avoid leaving empty seats if possible. We will be running an overflow room for these sessions in Social Sciences S0.13 (50 people)
Parallels are taking place in the Arts Centre Theatre and Social Sciences rooms S0.21 (95 people), S0.20 (55 people), S0.19 (55 people), S0.18 (45 people), and S0.11 (55 people). Attendance at the parallels will be limited by the maximum capacities of the rooms. We will be running an overflow space in S0.13, streaming one of the parallels when necessary.
Remember that all in-person attendees have access to the online ReAttendance platform, so if the parallel session you wish to attend is full, consider finding somewhere to join it online. There will be spaces available around the Arts Centre and Social Sciences for doing so; please ask an LOC member or local volunteer for assistance if you need to find a space.
ReAttendance platform
All in-person attendees have full access to the ReAttendance online platform. You should have received an invitation from ReAttendance containing your personalised link to join the platform; if you have not received this email, please contact the LOC and we will investigate.
For information about some of the features of the platform, please see the Guide for Online Attendees
